SWCC looks to add space

Southwestern Community College is hoping that the Connect NC bond referendum passes, because, according their President, they are in desperate need of new space for students.

Dr. Don Tomas, President of Southwestern spoke at a recent meeting in Jackson County to the various governmental agencies about the importance of the bond to Southwestern.

Dr. Tomas says that the Connect NC bond would do a great deal to help the school expand and meet the needs of the communities they serve, and adds that the bond would take a burden off of county board that are in charge of maintenance of the Southwestern Facilities.

The Connect NC bond comes up for voters in North Carolina on March 15th.
