Road Project Delayed Another Week

A Rabun County Road Project has been delayed to yet another weekend.

The Georgia Department of Transportation announced intentions to lay down a “high friction surface treatment” on Highway 76, from Downtown Clayton going west towards the Towns County line. Due to discussions about the aggregate that is used with the High Friction Surface Treatment, the project was delayed.

Earlier this week, Rick Brockman of Triangle Grading and Paving announced another delay for this project, due to the the “Garlic Festival” and Farmer’s Market this weekend in Clayton, and the traffic that comes with such events.

The project is expected to pick back up on the weekend of August 6th.
