Rabun Gap Never Forgets
Today marks the 14th anniversary of the attack on the Twin Towers, and The Rabun Gap lawn has been painted with the numbers 9-11 and students are placing 2,977 flags on that lawn this morning, rain or shine. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, along with Georgia Public Service Commissioner Tim Echols, is proud to host a 9/11 commemoration program today. The free event is a salute to first responders and will take place on Rabun Gap’s front lawn. The memorial will begin at 10:00am, and will feature brief remarks by Dr. Sgro, Commissioner Tim Echols, and local community leaders. Shuttle service will be available from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School parking lots. The flags commemorate all of those who lost their lives that day. The school invites everyone to attend. Never Forget!
