Early Voting in Rabun County begins October 12

Election day is coming up next month, and Rabun County is taking part in Early Voting.

Assistant to Election Supervisor Tammy Whitmire, Jane Thomason says that they will begin on Monday, October 12,  at the Rabun County Board of Elections & Registration
on Jo Dotson Circle in Clayton and will run through October 30th, from 8:30 A.M. until 5 P.M. on those dates. On November 3rd, election day, the elections will be held at the Rabun County Civic Center from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M.

Thomason says that a handful of matters will be voted on three of Rabun County’s cities, including the Mayor of Tiger, City Council in Clayton, and a liquor referendum in Dillard.

Early voting was created to help residents who can not attend election day, but if a resident is not able to take part in early registration, or in election day, Thomason says that you can still vote in this year’s election, by using an absentee ballot.

Early elections begin next Monday, October 12. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd.
