Wreck on Ga. 365 in Baldwin results in Fatality

Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Rob Moore reports that units from Habersham County Emergency Services and a Habersham County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded with Baldwin Fire Department and Baldwin Police Department units at 9:39am on Saturday, Jan. 18, to a wreck with entrapment on Ga. 365 northbound at Wilbanks Road in Baldwin. Two people were transported emergent by HCES ambulances to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, where one driver later succumbed to his injuries. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating. The northbound lanes of Ga. 365 were closed until just before 11:30am Saturday. Saturday’s wreck resulted in Habersham County’s first traffic fatality of 2025.
