Work Planned for This Week in Rabun County

Some work is planned for area roads this week.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that maintenance will be taking place on State Route 2 here in Rabun County.

Crews will be repairing edge ruts beginning today and continuing through Friday.

Work is scheduled to being each day at 7:00 a.m. and continue through 5:30 p.m.

The DOT also has other projects taking place throughout the region this week.

Crews will be mowing State Route 384 and 105 in Habersham County, and in Stephens County, crews will be mowing State Route 365.

Mowing and repairs are also planned for various state roads in Towns, Union, and White Counties.

The DOT urges motorists to reduce their speed in all work zones.
