Winter Price Plunge at the Pump Continues

Motorists saw prices continue to plunge at the pump last week. The national average price for gasoline fell for the 42nd consecutive day Sunday, the national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now $2.93, a 6 cent decline from last week. Meanwhile, the streak of decline is, 38 days in Georgia. Mark Jenkins, spokesman, for AAA says, “Prices are the lowest in four years, which should influence more people to take a trip, drive farther, or drive instead of fly.” this holiday season.  Georgia has the  13th cheapest average prices at $2.84 per gallon this week, which fell 3 cents from last week.  Rabun County sits just over the State average this week, at $2.85 a gallon.
