Wildcats Headed to Playoffs

After a 14 year drought, the Rabun County Wildcats are headed to the playoffs.

Friday night, Rabun County defeated the Patriots from Oglethorpe County by a score of 49-27, putting the Wildcats into the playoffs for the first time since 1998 as the fourth seed in Region 8-AA.

Rabun County’s only competitor for the playoff spot, Union County, lost to Jefferson Friday night by the score of 42-7.

As the #4 seed in Region 8-AA , the Wildcats are scheduled to take on Heard County, the first seed in Region 5-AA, this Friday night.

The game will be played in Heard County.

Should the Wildcats win their first round game, they would face the winner of the contest between Greater Atlanta Christian and Model.
