Wallets to Get Heavier for School Employees
Employees of the Rabun County School System will see a bit more money in the next school year as the Board of Education voted for a 5% raise in last Thursday’s BOE meeting. Superintendent Matt Arthur says everyone is included…
“Every employee, every single employee, certified, classified, everybody, bus drivers, school food, everyone.”
Arthur says the raise will take effect this summer…
“July, July 2014.”
The state has not given those who work in education a raise in 11 years.
