Voter Registration Deadline
If you plan on voting in the November 6th General Election and have not yet registered to vote, time is quickly running out.
Tomorrow at 5 p.m. is the deadline for voter registration.
Tammy Whitmire with the Rabun County Elections Office explained the procedure for registering to vote.
“They just come in and fill out an application, we also have applications at the library and the department of family and children’s services,” said Whitmire. “At this point, this best option is to walk in and fill out that application. It’s a little too late to mail it in.”
Whitmire also said that you can download the voter registration form from the Secretary of State’s Office website, and then drop it off in her office.
Early voting begins on October 15th.
