USDA Pushes Conservation Stewardship Program Deadline Back

Those in Rabun County who are eligible for the Conservation Stewardship Program put on by the USDA now have until February 7th to enroll acres in the program instead of January 17th says Michael Whitt of the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service…

“We want them to go online. They can get a copy of the application, they can also get a lot of information that’s going to help them through the application process if their interested in signing up. So they can find out what some of the base lining information they have that they need to set up for their operations. It’s really going to help stream-line the application process. And they can also start to review and identify which conservation activities they’d be interested in.”

If interested you can go to www.nrcs.usda.gov for more information on the program and to register.
