Update on Wolffork Water Main Project

Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority (RCWSA) General Manager Brendan Thompson gives an update on the Wolffork Water Main Project. “We got under construction on our Wolffork Water Main starting at Wolffork Baptist Church on September 16th. We’ve been moving well and we’re just about to Wolffork Road and heading south on that. So, we’ve been averaging about 200 feet a day. We’ve put in three fire hydrants so far. So, it’s probably another 3-4 months on that project. It’s going well and of course, we’ll be repaving that road after we are done. So, I’m very pleased with the progress.” This week, the contractor, Tom Adams Construction, has installed 880 feet of the 8-inch Ductile Iron Pipe Water Main on Wolffork Baptist Church Road.
