Update on Rabun Co. Public Library

The Rabun County Public Library has been closed since a pipe burst on December 23, 2022.  Library Manager Dyana Costello Banks says restoration efforts are progressing and hopes to reopen soon.  “The staff has returned to the library and we’re currently cleaning and organizing everything to open to the public.  We still do not have an anticipated opening date but when we have that information we will let everybody know.”  The library has extended due dates for all materials for a little longer, adds Costello Banks.  “All items now have a due date of February 6, 2023.  During this time, no fines will be accrued for patrons who have items checked out.  You can still check out items through Libby or visit the Clarkesville location of any of the Pines participating libraries.”  For more information, visit the Rabun County Public Library’s website at www.rabuncountylibrary.org.
