Unemployment Remains Consistent

Rabun County’s unemployment rate remains the same, while the overall rate in the Georgia Mountains region goes up slightly.

For the month of July, Rabun County’s unemployment rate was 12.3 percent. That is the same as June’s unemployment rate.

July’s unemployment rate for the region went up to 8.3 percent, just a tenth of a percentage point higher than June’s rate of 8.2 percent.

Regionally for the month of July, Habersham County has an unemployment rate of 9.8 percent, while Stephens County is right at 10 percent. Both of those counties went up slightly.
