Unemployment Down Statewide

The Georgia Department of Labor announced that Georgia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 7.4 percent in December, down two-tenths of a percentage point from a revised 7.6 percent in November. The state saw an increase of over 90,000 jobs in December. Rabun County hit one of its lowest marks in years with a 9.2% unemployment rate.
