Two Wrecks on Monday in Rabun Co.

Two motor vehicle crashes happened on Monday, March 23, 2020, in the county, reports the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office.  The first occurred at 3pm at On The Run gas station on Highway 441 North. The driver of a 2006 Ford truck said that he opened his door and his foot slipped off the clutch causing his truck to strike the gas pump.  The manager of the gas station was on the scene and quickly stopped the pump. No one was injured in the single-vehicle wreck. The second crash happened around 7pm on Georgia 2 West at its intersection with Highway 197.  The driver of a 2016 Dodge 1500 reported to deputies that he swerved to miss another vehicle, left the roadway, struck a ditch, rolled over, and came to rest in the ditch. No one was injured in the single-vehicle wreck.
