Two Recent Wrecks in Rabun County

Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office recently worked two wrecks in the county.  The first motor vehicle crash occurred at 11:30am on April 30, 2020, on Timpson Cove Road.  The driver of a 2018 Jaguar was attempting to pass a Habersham Electric Membership Corporation bucket truck that was parked on the roadway and struck it.  The truck was unoccupied as the operator was in the bucket.  The Jaguar struck outriggers causing the right front tire to deflate.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle collision.  The second wreck happened at 5pm on May 1, 2020, on Highway 76 West.  The driver of a 2005 Ford Ranger said that he sneezed, which caused him to run off the roadway, overcorrect, and turn on its side.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle accident.
