Two People arrested on Warrants

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that two people were recently arrested on active warrants.  On March 30, a deputy was dispatched to Black Rock Lake in reference to some suspicious persons.  The deputy spoke with people in the area and after running their names through the Georgia Crime Information Center database learned that 23-year-old Joshua James Emanual Ernest Martin had an active warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in Rabun County Probate Court for a traffic offense.  He was arrested and taken to the Rabun County Detention Center for booking.  On April 7, a deputy was dispatched to an address on Eastman Mountain in Tiger in reference to transporting a female with an active warrant.  On scene, the deputy spoke with a probation officer who stated that 32-year-old Jessica Helms of Clayton had a warrant for a probation violation.  She was arrested and taken to the Rabun County Detention Center for booking.
