Tree Not Safe For Pedestrians

You may have noticed some changes in the streetscape in the middle of Downtown Clayton. City Marshall Scott Crane says the latest project in town was a necessary one…

“There was a cherry tree in front of Lee Reality, and we hated to have to remove it, but it was becoming an impediment to pedestrians on the sidewalk, and it had raised the sidewalk. We just felt it best for safety purposes to remove the tree, but one thing, we are going to replace the tree with another streetscape type of tree that won’t raise the sidewalk, and replace it also with some green space.”

Marshall Crane says the work should only take a couple of days.
