Traffic Stop results in Drug Bust
A recent traffic stop in Rabun County resulted in a drug bust and two arrests. The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Jan. 9, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Ford F150 for a busted windshield at the intersection of Georgia 15 and Tiger Connector. During the traffic stop, a search of the vehicle was conducted and drugs were seized. Two were arrested as a result; 36-year-old Joshua Steven Arnold for trafficking in illegal drugs, possession, and use of drug-related objects, and a windshield violation, and 33-year-old Misty Dawn Hicks for trafficking in illegal drugs and possession and use of drug-related objects. The drugs seized were amphetamine, marijuana, and methamphetamine. Both suspects are from Mountain City, Tennessee, and were booked into the Rabun County Detention Center on the charges.
