Traffic Stop results in Drug Bust
A recent routine traffic stop resulted in a drug bust with three people being arrested. The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office reports that on June 1, a deputy was patrolling Georgia 15 and began following a 1994 Lexus that had two traffic violations. The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle near McCrackin Road. K9 Jorka was deployed for a free air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle. A search was then conducted after an alert from K9 Jorka. During the search, a firearm was located as well as suspected methamphetamine. All three occupants were placed under arrest and transported to the Rabun County Detention Center for booking. Arrested were 27-year-old Adam Donald Cline of Baldwin for trafficking in illegal drugs, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession and use of drug-related objects, and failure to maintain lane; 31-year-old Matthew Cecil Frady of Clayton for trafficking in illegal drugs, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession and use of drug-related objects, and transferring a firearm; and 31-year-old Jamie Carroll Bartosek of Lake City, Florida for trafficking in illegal drugs, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession and use of drug-related objects, and transferring a firearm.
