Traffic Shift on West Winder Bypass Project

On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, traffic will shift over to the newly constructed northbound lanes on Patrick Mill Road.  Construction partners will begin moving barrels early that morning and traffic should be using the new lanes by 9am.  Please slow down while traveling through the work zone as traffic will be adjusting to a new alignment.  The west winder bypass project proposes to realign SR 211 over SR 8 and the railroad in Winder onto the existing Patrick Mill Road. The construction process will occur in three phases. This project was awarded to E.R. Snell Contractor, Inc. in August 2018 for approximately $59 million.
