Towns Co. Sheriff hosts Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Meeting
Towns County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia reports that Sheriff Ken Henderson welcomed Appalachian Trail Traffic Enforcement Network Coordinator Mike Earley with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and Law Enforcement Liaison Cam Reed also with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety along with members of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety from eight different agencies Thursday night for their monthly meeting and then conducted a Safety Road Check at the old Blue Ridge Mountain EMC building in Young Harris. Sheriff Henderson would like to personally thank McCaysville Police Department, Woodstock Police Department, Blairsville Police Department, Hiawassee Police Department, Union County Sheriff’s Office, Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia State Patrol as well as his own staff from the Towns County Sheriff’s Office for being in attendance and participating in the Safety Road Check. Sheriff Henderson will continue Safety Roads Checks as they are a proactive approach in keeping the community and roads safe for the citizens of Towns County to travel on.
