Tire blowout results in Truck Crash on Ga. 365 near Mt. Airy

Units from Habersham County Emergency Services and the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office responded Tuesday night to a reported wreck with injuries on Ga. 365 southbound before Cody Road. A Ford F-350 flatbed truck loaded with concrete blocks blew a tire and traveled off the southbound lanes and struck a tree. The female driver complained of injuries and was transported by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville. The call was dispatched just after 6:40pm on Oct. 29. The southbound lanes of Ga. 365 were closed from 7:40-8:05pm to allow towing operators to remove the truck. The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
