Three Wrecks over the Weekend in Rabun Co.

Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office responded to three wrecks over the weekend in the county.  The first happened on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 3:45pm on Pinnacle Drive. The driver of a 1981 Chevy C10 told the deputy that his passenger side tire dropped off the edge of the road, he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.  Fortunately, none of the three people in the vehicle were injured in the accident. The second wreck occurred on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 8:42pm in the Walmart parking lot. The driver of a 1986 Toyota pickup truck said he was backing up and did not see a 2013 Chevy Suburban in time to avoid hitting it.  Neither driver was injured in the two-vehicle accident. The third wreck happened on Sunday, Oct. 20, at 7:30am on Eastman Mountain Road. The driver of a 2010 Ford Edge told the deputy that she did not see the tree across the roadway and was unable to avoid striking it. The driver was not injured in the single-vehicle accident.
