Three Traffic Accidents in Rabun County

Deputies with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office recently responded to three traffic accidents in the county.  The first occurred on Oct. 5, 2019, at 9:35am on Old 441 South at its intersection with Joe Davis Road. The driver of a 2009 Toyota did not see the driver of a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee as she pulled out of Joe Davis Road and struck it.  No one was injured in the two-vehicle accident. The second happened on Oct. 9, 2019, at 11am on Highway 28 near the North Carolina state line. The driver of a 1998 Honda told the deputy that he was going too fast for the curve and lost control.  The driver was not injured in the single-vehicle accident. The third occurred on Oct. 10, 2019, at 7:25am on Bridge Creek Road at its intersection with Glassy Orchard Road. The driver of a 2018 Jeep Cherokee told the deputy that a deer ran out in front of her, striking the vehicle.  No one was injured in the single-vehicle accident.
