TFS’s Sarah Jennings pens Letter of Intent with Covenant College

It was never in doubt that Sarah Jennings would play at the next level, reports Tallulah Falls School (TFS) Athletics.  The only question was where. Jennings prior to her senior season had verbally committed to Covenant College to continue her volleyball and academic career. She never wavered, and late last week she made it official by signing her Letter of Intent to play in Lookout Mountain, Georgia.  Jennings, who recently won a state championship, the first-ever for TFS, is the career leader in kills, digs, and assists for the Lady Indians. The four-year starter had been a reliable leader who possessed talent and leadership that several college programs would love to have on their team. For Sarah, Covenant College was always her top choice.  “I am really grateful to be given the opportunity to play volleyball in college,” exclaims Jennings. “Signing the letter of intent makes it real. To finally get something that I have dreamed of and prayed about for so long is really special. I am so glad that I found a college that not only fits me academically but also one that has a really great volleyball program. The coaches are great and the players have been so nice and welcoming to me.”  Jennings had a spectacular senior year, as the outside hitter claimed Area Player of the Year honors and posted career-highs in kills with 417 (also a program record) and aces with 91. Her final numbers have her as the TFS all-time leader in kills (1,085), digs (1,025), and aces (283). She was named BLITZ Player of the Year for a second straight season in the process.  For Jennings, there was little time to waste after winning the state championship. She has been busy getting ready for what lies ahead at Covenant.  “The day after we won the State Championship, my club volleyball season started,” adds Jennings. “I have been super busy with practices and tournaments to further my skill so that I will be prepared to play at the collegiate level.”  Jennings will be recognized in the first-ever Tallulah Falls School Next Level Signing Ceremony at the end of the school year, in which all athletes who have signed with colleges and universities will take part in.
