TFS’s Carlan signs Letter of Intent with Truett McConnell

Tallulah Falls School (TFS) Athletics reports that senior Abby Carlan put pen to paper on February 3, making good on her commitment to play volleyball at Truett McConnell University.  Carlan signed a national letter of intent to compete in volleyball for the navy and gold Truett McConnell Bears (NAIA Appalachian Athletic Conference) in Cleveland, much to the excitement of TMU volleyball program.  “I am excited to have Abby joining our volleyball program at TMU,” says coach Mark Corbin. “After meeting with Abby a few times, I believe that she will be a great fit at TMU and will help build our volleyball program. Abby has all the attributes that we look for in a recruit. She is a hard worker, has a positive attitude, encourages those around her, and has a great Christian testimony. I look forward to seeing Abby continue her volleyball career in college and know that she will be a great asset for us by pushing herself to get better every day and helping her team excel.”  Carlan’s support system of teammates, friends, family, and coaches all got to share in her special day.  “Abby’s dedication, focus, and passion-fueled her persistence and consistency, traits that will serve her well as she furthers her education and competitive career at TMU,” adds Athletic Director Scott Neal. “We are quite proud of her, her legacy of accomplishments at TFS, and the journey she will now be undertaking at the next level!”  Carlan was a second-team All-Region honoree in volleyball in the fall of 2020 and a large part of the success of the Lady Indians program over the past several seasons.  Photo by Lane Gresham showing Abby Carlan.
