TFS Senior commits to play Baseball at Brevard College

Tallulah Falls School (TFS) senior Davis Jennings of Clarkesville on April 2 signed a letter of intent to compete in baseball for the Brevard College Tornados (NCAA Division III – USA South Athletic Conference) in Brevard, NC.  “We are very excited to have Davis as a Tornado,” said Brevard College baseball coach Mike Victory. “He is a high motor kid and I think his best baseball is still in front of him. Davis is going to have a great career at Brevard and will be a leader in the program as we continue to push for a USA South Championship.”  TFS baseball coach Mark Wilcox has worked with Jennings during his high school playing career. “Davis has played a lot of baseball over the years and worked hard to become the player he is now,” Wilcox said. “I am very happy for him, as well as his family, and look forward to seeing him play at the collegiate level.” President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy expressed his pride in Jennings.  “The TFS family is always pleased when one of our student-athletes makes it a personal goal to compete at the next level,” Peevy said. “We look forward to watching Davis make his mark on the baseball program at Brevard.” Athletic Director Scott Neal said Jennings has been highly engaged and been a significant contributor to the baseball program throughout his time at TFS. “We are happy for him and proud of his dedication, hard work and team mentality,” Neal said. “Furthering his education and his playing career at Brevard College will bring many opportunities for him to continue to make GREAT contributions.”  After the signing ceremony attended by his immediate family and joined by extended family and friends through Facebook Live, the excited student-athlete shared these remarks. “Baseball has always meant so much to me,” Jennings said. “I am blessed to have parents and grandparents that were always willing to get me where I needed to be. My coaches are always there for me if I want to get better or need advice. Thank you to all my friends and family for being there for me.” Photo by E.
