TFS Rifle Team punches ticket to State Championships

Competing at home for the final time this season, the Tallulah Falls School (TFS) Precision Rifle team bested Glynn Academy on Friday morning, 1137-1102, securing a spot in the upcoming GHSA State Championships, reports TFS Athletics.  In the State Semifinals match, senior Jue Wang earned the top score with a 287 (14x). Junior Joseph McGahee had a 287 (11x). Sophomores Chloe Erwin (282), Kylee Loudermilk (281), and Leah Rogers (275) performed very well.  “All eight of our team members shot in at least one of our state playoff matches to help us get to this point in the season,” says coach Katie Keister. “We couldn’t be prouder of each of them.”  Now, Tallulah Falls will compete for a second straight season at the GHSA State Championships on April 1 at the University of North Georgia. There, the team will shoot against the top 16 schools in the state across all divisions, public and private, 1A to 7A.
