TFS Indians of the Week named for week ending November 21

Brian Carter, Director of Sports Communication and Digital Media at Tallulah Falls School (TFS) announces the Indians of the Week for the week ending on Nov. 21.  The Indians of the Week are chosen by coaches and recognize student-athletes that play sports that are currently in season. This week’s Indians of the Week (for the week of November 16-21) include Abby Carlan and Julian Gober for high school, and Chesney Tanksley and TJ Cox for middle school.

Abby Carlan – Basketball

High School Girl

“Abby began her senior season with some solid results while seeing limited action as the Lady Indians completed an undefeated first week. Abby averaged  67 % from the field, grabbed 7 rebounds, recorded 2 steals, and took 2 charges. More importantly, Abby set the kind of example we want to see with exceptional hustle on the floor and her support of her teammates,” said Coach Brandy Corbett.

Julian Gober – Basketball

High School Boy

“A new addition to the 2020 Tallulah Falls Basketball squad, Julian Gober, was nearly 100% from the field against Rabun Gap school. Julian was second in scoring with 13 points including a three-pointer late in the 4th quarter,” said Coach Cody Coleman.

Chesney Tanksley – Basketball

Middle School Girl

“Chesney leads by example and stands tall in uncertain times. She makes sure her teammates are aware of changes in the schedule and that they are prepared for whatever the team has planned to do. Practices are no different, Chesney leads her team with a great work ethic and always encourages each of her teammates to give their best efforts. On and off the court, she is a great asset,” said Coach Sharea Long.

TJ Cox – Basketball

Middle School Boy

“TJ is an exceptional kid with an impeccable work ethic. He is a true leader by example. If we had a preseason, “Most Improved” award, TJ would be the recipient. He is a player who models a GREAT attitude every day,” said Coach Scott Neal.
