“Technology Works!” Honored by Computerworld

A program located at the Rabun County Employment Center is honored by Computerworld.

“Technology Works!” is a large public computer lab located in the Employment Center on South Main Street in Clayton, and it has been named a 2013 Laureate for the Computerworld Honors Program.

The Technology Works center is designed to provide technology, education and employment opportunities for the people of Rabun County and the surrounding area. The Public Computer Center increased public access to computers, internet and wireless services, and in addition, Basic Computer classes and other introductory computer skills classes are offered free of charge.

The annual award program honors visionary application of information technology promoting positive social, economic and educational change.
