TADSAW in Rabun County
The Train a Dog Save a Warrior program has come to Rabun County. TADSAW a non-profit organization provides the training to Medical Alert Service Dogs and then gives them to Active Duty and Veterans who suffer from PTSD and MST to help improve their quality of life at no charge to the soldier. Mr. Majias and his family whom recently made their home here in Clayton was the first to receive one of these dogs in the area. His wife Britney says Kruger the English Bulldog has help immensely…
“So far he is able to smile again, He has been able to spend time with the kids and not be locked in the house. He is getting excited to leave the house and go spend time with Kruger instead of telling us he just wants to play the X-Box and not move.”
The cost of training, fees, and food for the dogs is around $2500 each. If you would like to donate, volunteer time to help train or want more information on the TADSAW program you can go to www.tadsaw.org.
