Spring Already Heating Up for Rabun County Firefighters
Thursday of last week was a busy day for firefighters in Rabun County. It started around 10am on Community Lane, with what firefighters on scene described as a junkyard fire consisting of rubble, several junk cars, stacks of tires, and a makeshift shelter says Firefighter James Reed…
“We were there about four and a half hours. We had station 4 from Lakemont/Wiley, and station 12 from Tiger there.”
During that course of the 4 hours, firefighters throughout the county also responded too, and knocked down 2 brush fires, one on Pine Hollow Lane, the other on Wayah Trail, and a call of a possible brush fire near Clayton City Hall. No injuries were reported from any of the incidents and investigations to the causes are still underway.
