Spout Springs Road Widening Project awarded

The Georgia DOT announced this month the widening and reconstruction of Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch of Hall County was awarded to G.P.’s Enterprises.  This project was advertised in June 2019. A required USACE permit was recently approved allowing the project to be officially awarded. The construction contract represents a $31 million investment in infrastructure improvements for Hall County.  This project begins at Union Circle and continues to Interstate 985, spanning 3.57 miles. This project has a 760-day completion timeline and construction activities could begin in the next 60 days. Once construction activities are underway single lane closures are allowed as follows Monday through Thursday, daytime from 9am to 3:30pm, evening and overnight from 7pm to 6am, Friday from 9am to 3pm, evening and overnight from 8pm to 9am, Saturday from 8pm to 9am Sunday, and Sunday from 7pm to 6am Monday.  Work on the roadway near the high, middle, and elementary schools will be limited to 9am until 2:30pm Monday through Friday during the school year. Please drive alert as this project begins to take shape along Spout Springs Road.
