Six More Arrested for Meth

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office continued to make strides in the war on meth , arresting 6 individuals with charges ranging from possession to intent to distribute on June 5th. The first 4 arrests were made in relation to one investigation…

“There was an unusual amount of activity over off of Paris St., especially over off of 197 Paris St. Quite a few persons of interest going in and out. We set up a surveillance, once we ran our surveillance team in, we made some traffic stops and were able to make four arrest off of it.”

Sheriff Andrews says the bust wouldn’t have been so successful without the help of other agencies…

“Over off of 197 Paris St., you know we worked very close with the City of Clayton. We assisted each other in this, and we really thank them for their help, and our NCIS team did the surveillance on it, and we really appreciate everybody’s help.”

Two others not related to the investigation were also picked up on meth charges…

“Later on that night we had a road officer that stopped and arrested two more on possession of meth.”

All subjects were transported to the Rabun County Jail.
