The regular referees returned to action in last night’s game. Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco was an efficient 28-of-46 for 356 yards with a touchdown and an interception. The Ravens won their 13th consecutive home game, which is the longest current home winning streak in the NFL.

NHL

The NHL announced Thursday the cancellation of the remainder of the 2012 preseason schedule. The league had already wiped out preseason games through Sept. 30 due to the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement. The NHL and its players’ union are scheduled to resume bargaining Friday for the first time since the lockout began.
