The Yankees are one game ahead of the Orioles in the American League East with one regular season game left. If the Yankees win today or Baltimore loses, then New York claims the division title. Should the Yankees lose and the Orioles win, then the two teams would compete in a one game playoff tomorrow.

WNBA

The Atlanta Dream was defeated last night by the Indiana Fever 75-64, eliminating the Dream from the playoffs. Indiana advances to the Eastern Conference Finals.

 

NHL

The NHL and NHLPA resumed negotiations Tuesday, as the two sides search for a resolution to the lockout. NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly says the session “wasn’t overly encouraging.” He added that no new discussions have been scheduled.
