College Football
Week 11 of the college football season gets underway on tonight, as No. 8 Florida State visits Virginia Tech in an ACC clash. The Seminoles, who were idle last week, have won three straight games and are tied with the Clemson Tigers atop the ACC’s Atlantic Division at 5-1.

NFL
Week 10 of the NFL season kicks off on tonight, as the Indianapolis Colts travel to Jacksonville to take on the sputtering Jaguars in an AFC South matchup. The Colts improved to 5-3 on Sunday when rookie quarterback Andrew Luck set an NFL single-game rookie record with 433 passing yards as Indianapolis recorded a victory over the Miami Dolphins. The Jaguars have lost five straight since their only win of the season in Indianapolis.

NFL
The National Football League fined the San Diego Chargers $20,000 on Wednesday for failing to immediately give up a towel that had a grip-enhancing substance on it during their October 15 game. The NFL says the Chargers did not violate any NFL competitive rules, but the team is being fined due to the initial lack of cooperation.

NHL
The NHL and NHLPA met for over five hours on Wednesday in an attempt to end a lockout that has been going on for close to two months. Neither side has released details of what was discussed, but did say that the two sides will meet again today.
