The Bulldogs’ junior quarterback Aaron Murray was named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for his performance against Ole Miss this past weekend. Murray completed 21-for-28 passes — including 13-of-15 in the second half — for 384 yards and four touchdowns. Also, Georgia’s Alec Ogletree appeared a strong candidate for SEC defensive player of the week after recording 11 tackles, an interception, a sack and a tackle-for-loss that went for a safety, but he was edged out by Alabama linebacker Adrian Hubbard.
