AJ McCarron threw for 264 yards and four touchdowns as No. 2 Alabama earned a dominant victory over top-ranked Notre Dame to capture its second straight BCS National Championship. With the win, McCarron became the first- ever quarterback to win back-to-back National Championships. Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban recorded his fourth title overall and third in the last four seasons.

The Seattle Seahawks will be without their best pass rusher for this Sunday’s game against the Falcons. At his Monday press conference, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll revealed that defensive end Chris Clemons tore his ACL and meniscus during Seattle’s 24-14 Wild Card victory over Redskins Sunday. Clemons recorded a team-best 11 1/2 sacks this season.
