Scores for August 24th, 2012

Green Bay     12

Seattle «        14

An odd finish to this game, as Seahawk receiver Golden Tate was ruled to have come down with a Hail Mary pass in the back of the end zone on the final play of regulation, although to many it looked as if Green Bay’s M.D. Jennings had the ball clutched to his chest while Tate only had his arms on the ball while lying underneath the defender.

Milwaukee       2

Ryan Zimmerman went 3-for-4 with four RBI and a homer for Washington as the Nationals increase their lead over the Braves in the National League East to 5 games with nine games left to play.

Yadier Molina and Peter Kozma both homered to support the great start by Cardinal’s pitcher Lance Lynn. The victory places St. Louis 3.5 games over the Dodgers for the second Wild Card spot in the National League. The Cards are 5.5 games behind the Braves for the number one spot in the Wild Card.
