SC Trooper Involved in Accident

The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigates a wreck in Oconee County involving a state trooper.

Emergency crews responded to Radio Station Road in Seneca just after 5 p.m. Sunday in reference to an accident that involved a patrol car and a green pickup truck.

Both vehicles had front-end damage.

The trooper involved in the wreck was Lance Corporal M.L. Taylor, who has been with the Highway Patrol since 2007 and is based out of Pickens and Oconee Counties.

Taylor was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

No other information about the wreck was immediately released.

Since the wreck involved a Highway Patrol trooper, the investigation was turned over to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.
