RCSO participated in ‘Teen Maze’

The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office wants teens to make the right decisions in life, so they’ve come up with a creative way to make that point.

The sheriff’s office participated in the Teen Maze program last Thursday, which was organized by Community Partnership. The program teaches students about the consequences of making good and bad choices.

This program first presents a scenario to the students then they are presented with different choices to make. They then get to see the consequences of those choices.

The Sheriff’s Office worked a mock crash scene, conducted field sobriety tests while students donned impairment goggles, and then processed “impaired” participants into a mock jail cell.

“It is an impactful program, and we were excited to be a part of it,” said Sheriff Chad Nichols.
