RCSO looking for scrap metal theifs

According to the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, a theft occurred at Wiley Tire and officials are seeking the publics help in identifying the suspected vehicle.

Chief Deputy Mark Jones said the theft occurred Oct. 9 around 10:30 p.m. when surveillance video captured multiple unidentified men rummaging through Wiley Tire’s scrap metal bin.

According to law enforcement, the suspected vehicle is said to be a white extended-cab pickup truck.

As of Thursday, Oct. 18 the sheriff’s office is still actively looking for the individuals responsible for the theft.

We’re just hoping someone can recognize the vehicle and close this case out,” said Jones.
