RCSO distributes ‘CHAMPS’ awards to local elementary students

Last week, the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office participated in the fifth-grade awards ceremony, awarding all students with certificates for completing the CHAMPS program.

According to Rabun County Sheriff Chad Nichols, CHAMPS is offered to provide an educational program for Georgia’s youth, which provides guidance, and the skills, ability and knowledge to be safe, healthy, and happy, in preparation for a successful life.

First place was Andrew Leff, second place was Adeline Miller, and third place was Kloe Brookshire.

“We had a great year with all the fifth-grade students and wish them the best as they move on to sixth grade,” Nichols said.
