Rabun, Habersham Counties See Small Increase in COVID Cases, Metro Atlanta Sees Explosion of New Cases

The COVID numbers for the week ending on December 31st have been released for North Georgia.

Rabun County had 41 positive cases confirmed for the previous 2 weeks, while Habersham County had 176.

When broken down by cases per 100,000 people, Rabun and Habersham counties showed an increase over the previous 2 weeks, but cases in the metro Atlanta area have exploded.

The data shows that Rabun County had 241 cases per 100,000 people, Habersham County had 384 per 100,000. In Gwinnett County, 1,079 positives per 100,000 were recorded.
