Rabun Gap seniors earn performing arts scholarships from Classic Center Cultural Foundation
Three Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School seniors involved in the performing arts were among the recipients of college scholarships awarded by the Classic Center Cultural Foundation.
Anja Racic of Nova Sad, Serbia, Cathy Gu of Shanghai, China, and Kacper Kuzimski of Sky Valley, GA were this year’s scholarship winners from Rabun Gap. Annalese Starzec was the award winner from Rabun County High School. The students auditioned at the Classic Center in Athens last month. The $2,000 college scholarship will allow them to pursue their dreams in the performing arts. The Rabun Gap winners will attend the following schools: Roosevelt University (Anja Racic), University of Californa Berkley (Cathy Gu), and University of North Georgia (Kacper Kuzimski).
Members of the CCCF Board, along with representatives from both schools, honored the recipients during a special luncheon on Thursday, May 9 in the Rearden Theater at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School.
This is the fourth year the scholarship has been offered to students in Rabun County. The Classic Center Cultural Foundation awards its performing arts scholarships to four students in Rabun County, three students from Athens and the surrounding counties, and one from Greene County.
