Rabun County suffers First Death due to COVID-19

Rabun County has suffered its first death due to COVID-19.  The Georgia Department of Public Health reports that 13 positive cases of the virus have been confirmed in the county and 5 people are being hospitalized.  Towns County lists 20 confirmed cases, 7 hospitalizations, and 1 death.  White County has 79 confirmed cases and 19 hospitalizations.  Habersham County reports 355 confirmed cases, 54 hospitalizations, and 9 deaths.  The Georgia Department of Public Health announces that 200,814 people have been tested for the respiratory virus, 29,437 people have tested positive, 5,537 people are being hospitalized, and 1,246 people have died from COVID-19 in the state.
