Rabun County BoC Special Called Meeting

The Rabun County Board of Commissioners recently announced there will be a special called meeting to consider adopting two agenda items.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 6:15 p.m. at the Rabun County Courthouse located at 25 Courthouse Square.

According to county officials, one consent item will be considering the approval of “School Zone Hours” from the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT).

Secondly, consider approval of the low bid for Project CR-80-01-18. According to Debra Jacobs County Clerk/CFO, it is a sales tax project for paving two county roads — Devils Branch and Flat Creek.

Jacobs said the low bidder for the project was Allied Paving.

“However, Allied paving has not been approved by the Board of Commissioners,” Jacobs said. “They will have to approve them at the special called meeting after the attorney has reviewed the contract.”
